Senator David Wilson represents Alaska’s N Senate District. Prior to serving in the Senate, he served as a City Councilman in Wasilla.

David is a principled, common-sensed and liberty-oriented conservative. He is originally from California and moved to Alaska over 20 years ago. David is married to a lifelong Alaskan who grew up on the Lower Yukon River. He has degrees in education, psychology and an MBA with a concentration in health service administration. He is a motivated but personable business professional with diverse experience.

David has taught throughout Alaska in rural communities and provided technical assistance to Alaska’s Community Health Clinics and other safety net providers. He has worked in behavioral health field for eleven years; working with children and families, teens and adults. He specialized in working with youth and crisis intervention. More recently David was the director of a domestic violence and sexual assault program.

Sen. Wilson serves as Chairman of the Senate Health & Services Committee and is a member of the Senate Finance and Community and Regional Affairs Committees. He also serves as Chairman of the Senate Commerce, Community & Economic Development Finance Subcommittee, Senate Corrections Finance Subcommittee and Senate Revenue Finance Subcommittee.
